Computer Coach offers you the best of both worlds...
Our empowering, engaging and effective e-Learning now comes with real-time access to subject-matter mentors 24 hours/day, 7days/week..
Students can use Instant Mentoring to clarify concepts, fine-tune solutions, confirm a process or simply seek assurance that they understand an application. Coupling Instant Mentoring with our robust e-Learning platform allows students to adjust their training method as their need dictates...the best of both worlds.
Instant Mentoring provides the back-up to ensure complete understanding and synthesis. Students can also have their course exercises reviwed by a Mentor by attaching it to an email. The exercises are not graded but do provide a one on one evaluation with a subject matter expert.
Organizations benefit from more productive employees, reduced demands on the Help Desk and in-house experts, and a greater return on your training investment. Plus, you can eliminate the frustration and hesitation that often accompanies the introduction of new software programs. Mentoring is available directly from the Computer Coach website.
Quick Start: The Instant Mentoring (IM) feature wil automatically be available when a learner logs into Computer Coach's courseware. To activate the Instant Mentoring feature, the learner simply needs to click on the Instant Mentoring button located at the bottom of the course window. The service will appear in the new window after a few seconds. The learner can then send a question by typing it in the top pane and clicking "Send."
Benefits:
Advantages of Instant Mentoring
Instant Mentoring is an excellent resource for users in search of focused, real-time answers to their training questions. Computer Coach's clients who have access to the "Instant Mentor" feature can interact with subject matter experts (SME's) and find additional assistance trough the Chat and Message Board functions. Access to this service is 24x7 and is intergrated into the Computer Coach's e-learning courses. Clients are not sent to another site to access this service. Real-time interaction is made possible because the KnowledgePool infrastructure is set up via Port 80 interface and is HTML coded. The Chat interface is non-IRC which prevents any firewall constraints. At any time, students can go to their IM window for assistance in answering specific questions and for additional information and certification guidance during their learning experience. Some of the benefits of the Instant Mentor feature are as follow:
24x7 Live Discussions with Certified Mentors
One of the key features of IM is the course specific discussion rooms that facilitate student-mentor interaction. Each Computer Coach course has its own chat rom that is monitored by certified mentors for that course. Computer Coach mentors are located troughout the world and their online shifts rotate by each region's 8-hour workday. This "follw-the-sun" approach to mentoring ensures that our mentors are always alert and ready to respond to student inquiries, regardless of the time of day.
Message Center
The Message Center is a general area for mentors and students to post information relating to the course. Threaded discussions are grouped by topic and include useful links to additional information sources, book titles for additional reading, exam tips, etc. Because the message board for each course is monitored by certified mentors 24x7, it also serves as a question and andswer forum.
