CCNA and Network+:
From Beginner to Expert

Starting a career in computer networking requires a strong foundation in core concepts. In fact, earning networking certifications like CompTIA’s Network+ and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) can help you build that foundation. Finally, CCNA introduces automation and its role in network management.

After earning CCNA, you can pursue higher-level Cisco certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) and CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert). As you progress, these advanced networking certifications can further strengthen your expertise.

Like many networking certifications, CCNA is valid for three years. However, you can renew it at any time using Cisco Continuing Education credits.

With a CCNA certification, you may qualify for roles such as network administrator, configuration engineer, or network security engineer.
